Indus World School added another feather in its cap. The Pre- primary wing "INDUS JUNIOR" at Viaynagar is the third branch of Indus which was inaugurated today. Indus world School believes in providing 21st an opportunity to explore the joy of learning through activities connected to real life. Seminars on "Effective Parenting" were conducted by the Principal Mrs. Archna Sharma and Head Mistress Mrs. Monica Jaiswal & Mrs. Rekha Sethi. Parents and kids from the city took part in the event. The Main attraction of the programme was an appearance by the cartoon character"DORAEMON". Kids played and enjoyed with Doraemon & its gadgets. The Director of Indus World School Mr. Soumyo Duttagupta and Principal of Eastern campus Mrs. Anandi Iyer also graced the occasion. Indus World School organised Anandotsav 2013 for celebrating talent across schools in Indore. The objective of the event was to give tiny tots from Pre-Primary wings of schools an opportunity to unearth hidden talent and motivate them. Indus World School, in an attempt to focus on the theory of Multiple Intelligences presented a glimpse of linguistic, spatial, and bodily kinaesthetic and musical based on them. There was an array of programmes ranging from fancy dress, role plays, and fashion show and song presentations. 25 schools with over 150 participants took part. The program was anchored by Indus world School, grade 2 kids Aarya Koserwal and Aanya Hingorani. The award for the overall exemplary performance went to Euro Kids Sapling, Amitesh Nagar. All participants were lauded and presented certificates for astounding performances. Indus World School Principal Mrs. Archna Sharma presented awards to playschool heads for their contribution. Headmistress Mrs. Monica Jaiswal proposed the vote of thanks.
TWith the belief and the onus to make early childhood education more meaningful and child centric, Indus World School organised a conference for the play school heads to know how children learn in 21st century. The conference started with lighting of lamp by our keynote speaker R. Shreenivasan, Co-founder and Director Career Launcher and Indus World School, Mr. and Mrs. Parikh the senior most of the participants. Archna Sharma, Principal Central Campus and Anandi Iyer, Principal Eastern Campus welcomed the guests. The conference added new perspectives when school heads actively participated in the interactive session and tried some hands on activities which made each one get in to the shoes of a child. The play school heads were felicitated for their valuable contribution in the early childhood education. This conference was an initiative to bridge the learning gaps. The conference proved to be of great value to the stakeholders.
Dereks Faster Smarter Better Challenge 2013 was held at IWS-Central Campus Indore. It is a nationwide contest for the students from class 6th to 10th. This was a quick 45 mins Quiz which challenged Indusians to think work and speak faster, smarter and better through rounds on logical and analytical thinking, public speaking, memory building exercises and general awareness.
Celebrating festival of lights. En lighting our dark traits and improving Children came in traditional dress. Mentors discussed about Deepawali with them in class. After that all the children from class Nursery to 1st made a big size Rangoli at their allotted places and time slots. And Jigyasa students had an Informative /Interactive speech by Mentor Pallavi Sothiya and a Demo of preparation of sweets (Fireless cooking). They also had Card making/ Diya decoration by students.
On the occasion of World Photography Day on 19th Aug, IWS Indore team hosted Shutterbugs season 1 of photography contest for school students.The shortlisted participants came to Jhalaria for the final round of contest. Eastern Campus (Jhalaria) never looked so beautiful before...thanks to the sensitive and creative eyes.
This event concluded with workshop on photography by renowned photographer Mr. Akhil Hardia, where he mentored the young photographers about tips and tricks of effective photography.
Ganesh Utsav, as a public event (Sarvajanik Ganesha Utsav), was conceptualized by Lokmanya Tilak in 1890 to bring Indians together in the freedom struggle. At Indus World School, we took responsibility to bring communities together and bond better through this festival.
IWS staff conducted activities at many townships of Indore. The event “Create your own Ganesha” offered an opportunity to all members of family to come together and design a “Ganesha” through their creativity.
On the auspicious occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, 16 students of Indus World School,Indore under the mentorship of school's art mentor Mr.Jitendra Rajput launched a book containing 5000 creative sketches of Ganesha, using a variety of materials such as flowers, leaves, vegetables etc.
The intent of the work is to spread awareness about protecting our environment and nurturing, reusing and recycling the God given resources.
