Mentors
Indus Mentors What does it take to transact the comprehensive Indus learning practices? Who will deliver theory into practice? To enable each child to realize her potential and achieve her dreams, demands a very special teaching talent. The talent that we are talking about is the desire not to teach at all!
No Teaching
Teachers at Indus are not teachers at all. They are facilitators. You can even call them mentors. They do not ‘teach’, they simply facilitate learning. They are the guides for learners and are learners themselves!
Indus mentors are only there to give your child a
gentle push in the direction of her dreams; towards the one
thing that she is happiest doing; to become that someone she’s
happiest being. Facilitation however, takes greater courage,
discipline and self-belief. It requires the ability to facilitate
and not instruct. To respond to a child’s question,
not react to it.
Qualified by education, Certified by Indus
A great deal of energy, time and effort has gone into the selection and professional development of Indus mentors. This team of handpicked enthusiastic young people from across the country has gone through rigorous training, ranging from child psychology to the latest methods of learning..
Their unquenchable thirst for knowledge, dedication to the cause of education, commitment to create a better environment and an undying love for children, are just a few of the ‘uncertifiable’ qualifications Indus mentors carry. They take great pride in being part of the very first school in India to create learning experiences, rather than teach; and, hence, ‘start something new’ in education.
