Students of Ananda I (PP1 & PP2) had a fun filled experience as they went to Rangla Punjab for the school picnic .Children were mesmerized by the traditional Punjabi culture beautifully depicted there. They were thrilled as they watched Magic show, Enjoyed puppet show and danced to the tunes of traditional Punjabi songs. The icing of the cake was the delicious traditional Punjabi food served in brass utensils. The Times of India in association with Indus World School Ludhiana hosted an Educational seminar for Parents of school going children. The keynote speaker was Mr Satya Narayanan R, Founder and Chairman, Career Launcher and Indus World School.
The students of A2 - J1 ( GradeI - V) of IWS Ludhiana went on Picnic-cum- educational trip on 19th November 2013 to Pushpa Gujral Science City , Kapurthala ,the biggest project of its kind in Northern India, set up in 72 acres of land. Students were actively engaged as they learnt and enjoyed by taking ride on an accelerator simulating a train ride. They watched a laser show, 3D movie , a movie in the 'Dome Auditorium'-The invaders of Mars and visited the Planetarium. They learnt about different body parts and their function. They saw a mock CT scan , surgery and the whole human digestive system. Children enjoyed a lot in the virtual reality gallery. On the whole a fun filled learning experience!
23rd November 2013 was extra special for the parents at Indus World School and it is a day that all parents will never forget as the School organized a day of fun filled adventure activities. The parents worked in groups to complete the assigned tasks - wall climbing, rappelling, river crossing, flying fox and adventure zone activities. The Founder and Chairman of Career Launcher and Indus World School Mr R Satya Narayanan facilitated the entire show. There was a session of shared feedback where the parents reflected on the manner in which the activities would help them in becoming better parents. The Best Performance by a Father was Mr Kamal Sapra (Father of Jayana Sapra)and in the Mother's Category Mrs Parminder Kaur ( Mother of Avleen and Armaan). The Overall Best Team Award went to the Blue Team.
Festival Celebration at IWS, Ludhiana is in its full swing and the moments for which the students had been waiting for- Diwali Celebration in their school.Children came dressed in rich, colourful traditional attires. Students of Jigyasa 1 presented a role-play on Ramayan. There were several programs but special emphasis was on "No Crackers" and "Happy and Green Diwali." The school was decorated with lanters, diyas and colourful rangolis.
Students of PP1 & PP2 organized and conducted student Led Conference (SLC) on the theme Under Water World. Parents took the pledge to protect all living creatures. They were mesmerized by the floor maze and the fishing games. Parents appreciated linking the theme to the social cause. They bought handicrafts based on theme prepared by the children.
